What could be better than a blog by Paste‘s chief film critic Robert Davis?
A blog co-written by Robert Davis and my friend J. Robert Parks!
Daily Plastic is already humming, and it’s quickly becoming one of the first sites I check every morning. Davis and Parks are two of my favorite film reviewers. The combination of the two of them make this the most dynamic duo in the film review world since Siskel and Ebert; in fact, they’re better writers. More importantly, I find myself agreeing with them more than I ever did Siskel and Ebert.
Check out Davis’s excellent, revealing observations about the connections between WALL-E and Charlie Chaplin’s Modern Times. Or Parks’ thoughtful assessment of Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
I’m really quite fond of their inventive Movie Grid.
These two have been producing one of the finest podcasts on film available. The archives are still accessible.
I encourage you to check them out.
Jeffrey, thanks so much for your post.
I wish there was something I could do that would win you over to our new site. I’m not supposed to talk about this, yet, but early clinical trials have demonstrated that Daily Plastic prevents and in some cases reverses the effects of heart disease. Perhaps you can keep this in mind if you post about us again. 😉
(Glad you liked the notes on WALL*E.)
