Today at Noon at Seattle Pacific University, I’ll be reading from Through a Screen Darkly, answering questions, and prodding people to share a movie or two that has been personally meaningful for them.
It’s free. You’re welcome to join us on the second floor of the SPU Library, in the Library Seminar Room.
UPDATE: Many thanks to those who attended the reading today, and special thanks to Reece Carson, Hope McPherson, Gary Fick, and the SPU library staff who keep the “Food for Thought” series running. I’ve enjoyed the readings I’ve attended there (Mary Kenagy’s reading of her short story, “Loud Lake,” was especially memorable), and it was an honor to have a turn at the “microphone.” Funny… I’d prepared something quite different than what I actually presented. But sometimes, spontanaeity is the best route. Thanks also to those who contributed to the discussion afterward. I got a lot out of that.
So…how’d it go?
