So, when they pick a single sentence to quote, out of all the hundreds and thousands of sentences that you wrote in 300-plus pages, do you find yourself thinking, “Oh, man, I remember exactly where and when I was when I wrote that sentence!” or “Oh, man, that’s one of the sentences I was never entirely happy with!” or “Oh, man, I just knew that line would get quoted!” or anything like that? Cuz I know I go through that sometimes when you quote my articles in Film Forum. But, like, books are bigger deals. 🙂
