Well, no one has come up with the right answer to Half-shot Contest #4.
So I’ll post half of ANOTHER picture, this time in color, from the same film.
I think this one will turn the contest from a challenge into a race.
Post your guess in the comments.
“Hannah and her Sisters”?
Andrew writes:
“House of Sand and Fog,” mayhap?
Remember… more than 20 years old.
And here are a few more hints:
It’s a classic.
The young woman in the picture is still acting in feature films today.
The figure on the left in the ORIGINAL picture is still acting today as well, primarily on television.
THERE YOU GO.
I’ve not seen the film, but I’m gonna take an educated guess.
Badlands? Sissy Spacek is still in movies, Martin Sheen is on television. And Terence Malick just released his Pocahantas epic…
Nick
Badlands is correct – beat me to it.
I just can’t seem to get my timing right, Overstreet! I missed the “few more hints!”
I saw “Badlands” during it’s original run and I haven’t seen it since. It was widely considered shocking but, hey, truth is stranger than fiction.I awakened at 7:30 this a.m. to see if—per chance—there might be another hint. I’ve been thinking all day, “I know that mouth and that bone structure…hmmm.” I inadvertently called my oldest daughter “Carrie” today; her name is Michelle. I should’ve caught that slip, but I didn’t.
Anyway, “Badlands” was a great movie. I’m gonna buy it and watch it again. Sissy Spacek has got to be in my top 15 as far as female actors go. I think I first saw her in “The Waltons.” I don’t know if you young’n’s remember that TV show, but Spacek really stood out although she wasn’t a regular—maybe 2 or 3 episodes at the most.
(Sorry. I typo’d in the previous entry.)
