Slate‘s got the good news… Movie renters, and the bone-headed Blockbuster video chain, have finally realized that Widescreen is winning out. Whew. No more renting a DVD and coming home to the rude discovery that the copy you rented cuts off about half of the visuals. thank GOD! a friend and i just rented “triplets of belleville” on saturday, and realized only after we got home that it was the full-screen version. arrghh!
