So here it is… your first glimpse of the upcoming Muppet movie!

Strangely enough, Disney is currently only referring to this film as The Muppets.

Today on WORD-FM in Pittsburgh

Today, I talked with show host John Hall about faith, imagination, and storytelling on WORD-FM in Pittsburgh. He mentioned having watched a video of a presentation that I gave at the International Arts Movement’s 2010 gathering, Encounter 10. The presentation was called “How Shall We Then Tell Stories?”

I’ve posted it here before, but just in case any listeners come looking for it, here it is.

I’ve always felt that Peter Weir has a great film in him. He’s come close, with thoughtful and inspiring releases like Picnic at Hanging Rock, Master and Commander and The Truman Show. (Most people I know are very fond of Dead Poet’s Society, although I have mixed feelings about it.) Almost all of them have been a mix of great performances and great ideas.

Refusing to fall.

As I walked from Seattle Pacific University to a nearby coffee shop in the pouring rain, I stopped and rummaged through my bag for my camera so I could capture this.

Somebody should write a children’s book about this leaf, which found a way to prolong its fall, so it could dance and dance in celebration of this incredible rain. … (more…)
