Hi. I’m thinking abotu doing a dissertation about Fight Club (the book) for my third year of university, and this review has cast an entirely different light on my thoughts (based around Fight Club being a lashing out in anger against consumerism and it’s hold on a persons identity) So thanks very much. It’s a great review.

Just now discovered this, thanks to your 2010 update. I’ve loved the movie for a long time, both the filmmaking and the themes. However, watching it as a college male I probably loved it for many of the wrong reasons. It’s great to read some of your thoughts on the film, and next time I watch it I will hopefully have a more mature perspective and still be able to appreciate it, but possibly for different reasons.
