Digging back through the archives of the original Looking Closer site, I’ve polished up and re-posted some of my favorite pieces.
I’ve brought back my interview with Danny Boyle, who visited Seattle to support the release of a movie called Millions, which topped my list of favorites in 2005. (And I still think it’s a far better movie than his Oscar-winning follow-up, Slumdog Millionaire, which was also about two brothers and a suitcase full of money.)
I’ve also brought back a page of interviews from my visit to L.A. for the opening of the film Constantine, which was heavily hyped to the religious media as an adventure that would thrill Christians everywhere. The movie we ended up seeing proved to be something altogether different. It was interesting to meet and interview Keanu Reeves, Rachel Weisz, Djimon Honsou, Shia LaBeouf, and others, and to hear their attempts to convey what Constantine was all about.
