Browser: April Fool’s day edition. Not.

I’ve come across one wonderfully painful April Fool’s joke so far today. And then there’s the amusing discovery that if you add &flip=1 to the end of any YouTube video URL, something rather interesting happens.

But most of the things that I thought were jokes, though… they turned out to be real.

1) You can hear the new Eels song online today, and it’s about werewolves.

2) Sam Phillips has a brand new song, and you can download it for free. And it’s awesome.

3) Yesterday there was a new Bob Dylan song available for free at his site. Gone now. But it’s pretty great too.

4) As I reported at Filmwell.org, Twitch is talking about a book of essays by Hayao Miyazaki coming to bookstores this July.

5) And yes, it’s snowing in Seattle. On April 1. No joke.

Kirk Cameron and Mel Gibson as CS Lewis and JRR Tolkien…..

The Sojourner’s story on Rush Limbaugh inviting Jim Wallis to be co-host was pretty awesome and Onion-ish…

i think you’ll appreciate this one. it’s far more effort for an april fool’s joke than i’ve ever seen. maybe that’s why i fell for it.
