U2 – NO LINE ON THE HORIZON – Official, full-album stream on MySpace today. Enjoy!

This time, it’s legitimate.

MySpace has made the new U2 album available, in its entirety, for U2 fans worldwide.

And because this isn’t an accident, or an illegal leak, those U2 fans who care about the band’s plans and wishes can listen with a clear conscience.

Me, I’m old-fashioned. I miss the old Release Day tradition, when fans lined up at the store, held the packaging in their hands, opened it up like a Christmas present, and listened TOGETHER, instead of in the isolation of their headphones.

So I’m going to wait until March 3, or whenever the album actually arrives in my hands. But the right to be ridiculous is something I hold dear.

Oh well. It’s out there. It’s a beautiful day. Don’t let it get away.

I’m waiting with you! Curse the Internet and its pleasure shortcuts!

An elder at my church once said that the definition of maturity is the ability to delay gratification.

I consider myself a pretty big U2 fan. That being said, am I allowed to say that I’m not digging this new album? Don’t like ‘boots’ at all… Followed this myspace link and listened to more – I’m disappointed. :(

This is torture in its purest form, some kind of moral dilemma to which there is no real solution. I’m with you – March 2nd I head to the record store, slide the CD into my car stereo and turn it up to 11 in the parking lot, listening to those first notes wash over me. That’s the only way to experience a new U2 record. Now, I have to suffer in agony for 10 days, knowing I could listen to the whole thing now, right now, this very second. But I will be strong. This whole digital age makes people waaaaaay too impatient if you ask me.
