Jim Carrey has quite a year ahead of him. We already know that in Robert Zemeckis’s motion capture Christmas Carol he’ll be playing Scrooge and a variety of creepy characters. His dark comedy with Ewan McGregor, I Love You Philip Morris, is coming soon. And now… in an adaptation of the musical Damn Yankees, he’ll be playing the devil, tempting Jake Gyllenhaal toward misbehavior.

I became a Berkeley Breathed fan during the early days of Bloom County, but I am an even bigger fan of his storybooks for children. So I’m happy to see that one of them is becoming a feature film: Mars Needs Moms. 4. More to come, most probably.
