Great list, Jeffrey. If you like Drive-By Truckers, you need to check out The Avett Brothers ASAP (they double billed a show in Baltimore last summer, and my friend who went told me that most people were so blown away by the Avetts that they left after the first couple of songs the Truckers played). I don't know if you met him at the Glen last summer, but Ron Wall will totally back me up on this recommendation. It only took one live show to convert me & to make them officially my favorite band. NPR's All Songs Considered & Paste really like them as well.

Others that caught my attention this year:
Langhorne Slim - self titled
Delta Spirit - Ode To Sunshine
Department of Eagles - In Ear Park

check them out if you get a chance! and Happy New Year!

Have you had a chance to listen to The Gaslight Anthem?

I guess they're pretty polarizing on eMusic, but I took a chance on them and have really loved their album "The '59 Sound."

Damien Jurado's "Caught in the Trees" is pretty solid, too. Not like you're overflowing with time or anything...
